The Pale Keep has stood for three centuries of in-game history. With 1.4.2, we've rebuilt the siege from the ground up based on two years of player feedback and internal playtesting.
What changed:
- Attacker spawn points have been moved 200m east to reduce zerging on the main gate
- Vrylios players now have access to three siege engines (up from two), but each requires a crew of four
- Raethia infiltrators can access the undercroft via the eastern drainage tunnels — a route that was previously inaccessible
- Defender respawn timers have been increased by 15 seconds across all stages
- The Pale Keep's inner sanctum now has a hard lock at stage 3 — defenders who hold stage 2 past the 40-minute mark win the siege regardless of stage 3 status
We've also fixed seventeen crash-to-desktop bugs related to large-scale siege particle effects, addressed the invisible wall near the north parapet, and corrected a loot table issue that was granting siege participants Raethian gear regardless of faction allegiance.
